Key Functions :Client Liason , both for client issues and their resolution and working with clients to improve straight through processing and overall efficiency of business flow for both sidesTrade booking , allocation and confirmation .Taking the daily business flow and booking correctly . Focus on automation and use of information being fed into firm electronically via FIX protocals and other direct links . Where not possible working with clients to obtain automation through FTP files and other methods . A ''get it right first time ethos ''Trade settlement and fail management . Reviewing of daily settlement flow to resolve issues and to identify and mitigate risk to the firm .Client onboarding , working with sales ,trading and compliance departments to understand client and internal requirements from the onset of the relationship and to ensure that these are met for a problem free processProduction of Key risk indicators . Identification of risk areas both internal and external , and the creation of reports and procedures to capture these and present findings to senior management and compliance department .In addition to the core the desk functions my role as manager also includes Responsibilty for staff training and identification of developmental needs Project management , working with interdepartmental groups to intiate and deliver project goals New System implementation .
