As Adventure Specialist for the lodges I was responsible for the Sales and Marketing division. This included initiating sales calls, travel for trade shows to the United States and Germany, public speaking, and not only selling the lodges I worked for, but also selling Manitoba as a prime travel destination. I was also responsible for utilizing social media to promote our company, responding to media inquiries, as well as setting up media travel to our lodges. I have created content for websites, and blogs utilizing SEO techniques to improve our search engine standings on the web. Through my work with the Lodges and with my customer and travel show experiences I have successfully pitched Manitoba as a destination. My personal experiences as well as time spent with the Lodge owners and operators have provided me with a vast knowledge of experiences and stories that I have shared with prospective customers, booking agents and media. I was also responsible for day to day operations and sales & marketing of high end fishing and hunting lodges. Responsible for maintaining lodge equipment and overseeing/inspecting building construction projects. My experience with assessing and analyzing needs and working with proposals is in the tourism industry where I was required to put together quotes for travel and accommodations and also to accept proposals from tour and trade industry groups, analyze them and make recommendations to management on whether they were feasible. Also responsible for all food production and service in five star fly in lodges.

Responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations for three separate fly in fishing, hunting, and eco tourism lodges in northern Manitoba. Responsibilities included supply and grocery ordering, food costing & inventories, hiring & training of seasonal staff, menu development & recipe creation.

Responsible for weekly inventory, and food cost reports, ordering, menu development, production and cooking for banquets, restaurant, and café in Manitoba Lotteries Club Regent Casino. Other duties include, Staff discipline and counselling, meeting with clients, and other MLC departments, kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
