CurrentAcute Care Float Pool (2015-2019)Duties include: Working on various units in 957-bed Level 1 Trauma Center Hospital, monitoring patient vitals, working with interdisciplinary team, collecting patient health histories, starting and maintaining IV lines, educating patients and families on care and treatments, performing wound care, administering medications, documenting care in electronic health records, and more. Units worked include: Joint Surgery, Ortho Trauma, Neuro, Cardiac- Telemetry, Cardiac Surgery, Rehab, Stepdown ICU, ED hold, Specialty/GI Surgery, Medical/Surgical, Trauma Surgery, and Observation. Labor and Delivery (2019-present)Duties include: triaging patients, obtaining medical health history, starting/maintaining IV lines, monitoring and assessing fetal heart tones, monitoring patient vitals, administering medication, engaging in interpersonal communication with medical providers and team, guiding patients through labor, assisting with deliveries, and more.
