Chief Regulatory Affairs Consultant, Mba
CurrentSince October 2016, I have been working within Danske Bank's Regulatory Affairs unit. My responsibility has been setting up the internal processes and structures for developing the Bank's position towards new financial regulation and the subsequent planning and execution of its advocacy efforts, individual as well as in industry associations. My key focus areas within regulation affecting the financial industry are the digital transformation of banks and sustainable finance, which both have the power to strategically impact the industry and its role in society. From December 2016 until May 2017, I also acted as co-program lead in the process of carving out MobilePay from Danske Bank A/S and creating a separate legal entity including a holding company.
First Vice President, Mba
From 2006 to 2015, I headed Danske Bank's financial market infrastructure unit being responsible for the Group's industry relations in Denmark as well as in other countries where Danske Bank operates. My primary objective was to represent the interests of Danske Bank in various local and international industry fora.Primary business focus was financial market infrastructures for payments, securities settlement, payment cards, digital ID and other inter-bank process digitization. I was also responsible for business impact analysis and implementation of comprehensive international legislative initiatives impacting financial market infrastructures, e.g. regarding the Payment Services Directive.Major achievements include the establishment of the NemID collaboration, refurbishment of the Danish payment infrastructures and the introduction of Central Counter Party clearing (CCP).Setting up and negotiating interbank agreements and agreements with industry suppliers has provided me with an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of a multi-stakeholder environment and strong negotiation skills. In 2006, I also finalized my Executive MBA at Copenhagen Business School.
Vice President
During 2003 and 2004 my responsibilities became widened and in addition to the previously mentioned - I also held the responsibilities for coordinating and preparing organizational development activities, coordinating and preparing budgets and financial reporting, coordinating and preparing various HR activities etc. for the IT organization. Major achievements include: Preparation of the annual IT budget/IT project master plan, planning and coordinating the implementation of a new IT governance model throughout the IT organization and the Danske Bank Group's various business units and participating in the establishing of a project office unit.
Vice President
In 2002 I assumed a position in the banks IT division (1.400 IT developers and 400 employees in IT operations) as secretary to the management. My primary tasks involved coordinating joint activities between 8 line managers and the CIO, task force participation, facilitating and preparing management meetings and seminars, preparing reports to the banks CEO and board of directors and preparing management information to the CIO/CTO in general. One of the major projects I was involved with in 2002 was the implementation of a new IT project development model.
Vice President
In 2001, Danske Bank started to prepare for an implementation of the Euro currency in Denmark and the financial systems in Denmark. I became business responsible for the banks euro conversion project, but due to the "no" vote of the Danish referendum, the project only turned out to become a minor more technical project.
Vice President
In 2000 I became project manager of a project that was to establish an overview of the banks IT spending and IT developments projects and to ensure that the bank was getting business value for its spendings (basically very similar to the activities that today take place in a project office).
Vice President
In 1995 I was appointed Vice President and became responsible for developing the banks electronic office banking services. This job gave me valuable insights in IT systems development and the challenges in the co-operation between business and IT.
