I have worked for multiple companies in different industries and roles, but one thing has always stayed consistent. Every position I have held has had a focus on doing the very best for our clients. It did not matter if it meant working late, standing up for something that was unpopular, or significantly more work, the client has always come first. What I have found allows me to excel at this is a combination of traits and skills.1.) I am a very quick learner. I am not just focused on the basics of how to do a job, but why I am doing it. I have held positions across many industries and disciplines, but I have always excelled and earned the top awards and recognitions in those roles and been able to contribute quickly.2.) I also find that I have great critical thinking skills. The ability to understand how one seemingly small issue can greatly impact the big picture and why has contributed greatly to my previous successes. Nothing is done in a vacuum and I believe it is essential in any role to fully understand how everything works together if you want to not just succeed but innovate.3.) Another skill that I think has been vital to my success is working well on a team. Everyone has something to contribute and their own set of skills that make them essential. I have been in many positions where I was heavily involved in training other associates and managers. Helping them understand their strengths and weaknesses so that they could perform their best but also grow in the role, has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.4.) I think the skill that has helped me most, though, is the ability to effectively communicate. I have been able to hone these skills through years of practice in the financial industry. From working with clients on advanced financial concepts, to sharing information between application developers and end users, I have shown a talent for being able to get the right people the information they need in the most efficient way possible. I believe much of this stems from my ability to think ahead to the questions someone may have and anticipate their needs before they have to ask.Ultimately, I am someone who cares deeply about doing the best job I can. I want to be able to contribute quickly and also meaningfully, with the end goal of supporting my clients to the highest of standards.
