Emily Christensen is a freelance journalist and news entrepreneur based in Wichita, Kansas. She is the managing editor of the Shout, which she co-founded alongside Teri Mott in 2024.Emily has written about visual art, pop culture, food, health and other topics for publications such as the Wichita Eagle, Wichita Beacon, and Philadelphia Inquirer. Emily is a previous recipient of a Dow Jones Newspaper Fund internship, a 2020 fellow of the National Critics Institute, and a recipient of a 2022 arts writing grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation. She is currently the journalist-in-residence at the Wichita Art Museum.
