Managerial responsibility for the project to reintegrate Munich Health into Munich Re Reinsurance and the ERGO Group including M&A activities for former Munich Health businesses

• Business focus: Financial steering of the Munich Re subsidiary Munich Health AG with approx. €5 billion of business globally (health reinsurance, direct insurance and service business) and more than 3,000 members of staff at 26 international locations • Role and reporting line: As part of the CFO role, holder of various Board of Director / Chairman of the Audit committee positions at international subsidiaries (e.g. USA, India, Europe, Middle East); direct reporting to the CEO Munich Health and functional reporting to the CFO Munich Re Group• Areas of responsibility: Financial reporting and accounting (IFRS, German HGB), planning / controlling / cost accounting, risk management, M&A, investor relations, legal & compliance, actuarial services / reserving and IT / business analytics • Number of employees: approx. 60 in the CFO headquarters organisation; functional reporting lines from regional and local CFOs Key achievements:• Improved Munich Health’s IFRS net result by 200% between 2010 and 2016 • Successfully developed and established all CFO-related structures and processes• Successfully managed IT project for the implementation of the new insurance regulation (Solvency II) in Munich Health • Strategically developed geographical coverage through M&A and greenfield activities (multiple projects and transactions with significant three-digit million euro amount in total), e.g. o Acquired and developed a specialized US health insurer o Successfully established Apollo Munich Health Insurance, one of the largest private-sector health insurance companies in India in a joint venture with India`s largest hospital groupo Built and developed Daman National Health Insurance, the largest health insurance company in the Middle Easto Built and developed a hospital in Spain as a public-private partnership project with the government of Valenciao Successfully turned around and sold a US health insurance subsidiary after strategic reorientation
