Hello, my name is Michael and I am passionate about Technology, Information Security and Service Management. I truly believe that information security risk management needs to be the heart of security management and should justify and control all measures.Another passion that I have engaged in since my studies is process-oriented IT service management. Organizational processes and procedures are important for an IT service provider to be efficient. Luckily, I have been able to pursue and deepen both topics during my work at the LRZ and in the European project GÉANT. Both the control of IT operations through service management processes and the integration of security management disciplines are important in order to have a holistic view of information and technology, which I try to promote as much as possible.Recently, I finished my doctorate at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University. For many years, I have conducted research in the field of information security risk management, focusing in particular on cooperation between organizations. The result is my dissertation called "Collaborative Management of Information Security Risks in Strategic Alliances", which describes a meta framework to implement a joint process between independent organisations. Although this is a very conceptual topic in the field of organizational theory, I hope that the results will advance research in the field of information security management. This work has been part of my life for quite some time, but I am happy that I finally concluded this journey.
