• Head up volunteer recruiting efforts, including making presentations to the community, university classes, businesses and other Boulder organizations; participating in volunteer fairs; and maintaining FLC presence on.
• Screen, interview and place new volunteers
• Host orientations to train incoming volunteers on an ongoing basis
• Develop and promote a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization
• Schedule all volunteer activity, including tours

• Coordinate, develop and implement afterschool and summer programs for elementary-aged children from families of diverse cultures and limited incomes
• Ensure the health and safety of 50+ students throughout the school year and 40+ during the summer program
• Provide oral and written progress reports to the public and the school system
• Facilitate partnerships with appropriate public and private businesses and organizations that provide services to the students and families
• Develop policies and procedures to continually improve operation of the afterschool and summer programs
• Establish and maintain communication with members of the school staff about student needs and aspects of the afterschool program
