• Head up volunteer recruiting efforts, including making presentations to the community, university classes, businesses and other Boulder organizations; participating in volunteer fairs; and maintaining FLC presence on volunteer websites• Screen, interview and place new volunteers• Host orientations to train incoming volunteers on an ongoing basis • Develop and promote a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization• Schedule all volunteer activity, including tours• Organize and participate in volunteer recognition programs and special events• Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer participation• Handle telephone, voicemail, written, and e-mail inquiries for information regarding volunteer group visits• Work with volunteers and admission staff to manage/assist groups before they arrive and upon arrival to provide the best experience• Build and maintain relationships with university service learning programs • Conduct post-visit calls• Provide detailed volunteer performance evaluations

• Coordinate, develop and implement afterschool and summer programs for elementary-aged children from families of diverse cultures and limited incomes • Ensure the health and safety of 50+ students throughout the school year and 40+ during the summer program• Provide oral and written progress reports to the public and the school system• Facilitate partnerships with appropriate public and private businesses and organizations that provide services to the students and families• Develop policies and procedures to continually improve operation of the afterschool and summer programs • Establish and maintain communication with members of the school staff about student needs and aspects of the afterschool program• Hire, train and provide day-to-day supervision of counselors, instructors and support staff• Oversee staff recruitment, evaluation, professional development and team-building• Work closely with colleagues on development of after-school literacy and other curricula• Analyze and apply information from periodic program evaluations • Take part in local committees related to afterschool programs• Coordinate and manage transportation needs to and from the afterschool program and to various summer activities• Establish lasting relationships with community programs and businesses to provide the kids fun and educational experiences and field trips • Oversee family engagement and communication• Assist in securing donations and funding for the program, including community outreach efforts and preparing proposals• Develop and track budgets• Coordinate program site data collection and reporting• Maintain records needed for program administration
