I have had the opportunity to work across various different projects each with a different focus while at Moody's. I've managed and maintained two different reusable component libraries used internally by our engineering teams company-wide. Technologies used include Angular, Angular Material, Flexbox, NgRx / Redux. I provided in-person training and hands-on instruction, as requested, by internal teams using these component libraries. I've been one of the main front-end contributors to 3 key, large-scale customer-facing applications. Responsible for code review, troubleshooting, and creating new, interactive features using Angular, Angular Material, Flexbox, NgRx / Redux. These applications were Impairment Studio C.E.C.L. Solutions - implemented various tables, data modeling, and forecasting UI tools to help organizations analyze their credit risk and build more profitable forward-looking solutions. C.A.P. Solutions - Lead front-end developer. Implemented new UI components - including various data models, tags, and comments to allow organizations to better forecast and collaborate throughout the modeling lifecycle. Moody’s S.S.O. - Lead front-end developer for Moody’s Single Sign-On experience. Interacted with various APIs to improve user experience and integrate a project workspace making it easier for organizations to move between applications. Integrated new UI components and refactored the existing code base as needed. I have been responsible for updating NPM packages for these projects for new releases, ensuring teams are able to work with the latest features. This includes updates to the latest Angular, Angular Material, and other associated packages.

Dojo instructors not only teach students how to write code, but they also engage the full breadth and scope of the subject matter, transforming students into true web developers with a comprehensive set of tools that are crucial for optimal success in my career.

I worked closely with IT to oversee the data input and requirements in developing an SQL database to help organize Annuity policies ranging back from 1992 to present for a multi-state audit. This totaled over 1 millions client records to be input into the database for analysis. This project ensured that 95% of policy beneficiaries with policies lapses upcoming received their money before it would be required by the state, to be sent to the state. I helped increased efficiency by 10% in key Fixed New Business Processes. I also worked closely with senior management to increase efficiency and production in Allianz core data systems (Bass, ID3, Call Center Wrapper).

I started an online business community connecting small business owners via targeted marketing to local consumers. We increased our small business client base by an average of 8-10 businesses per month in the first year. I contributed to the development of our online service - starting from wireframes to the completion of the final product. I also managed multiple key developers at one time during this process, with new developers coming in at various stages of development. I also handled the financing, development of Clammour marketing products, and sales. I developed customized business cards, newsletters, email marketing strategies, window clings, QR codes, and other various marketing materials to accurately reflect the goals of our service.

At SMS I worked with small to medium sized business owners to improve in areas the owner felt was lacking. SMS is a full service consulting firm. My main areas of business I worked in include operations, marketing, and systems. On average, three months after implementation we were able to decrease costs by 5 - 10% and increase efficiency by 10%. I was responsible for bringing in various consultants and analysts from around the country, depending on the area of focus, to work with the business. I worked both with the business owner and oversaw the process to ensure a smooth completion. I also conducted 3-5 daily appointments per day, managed my team in Chicago, made in person cold calls, and followed up on current consulting projects to ensure everything was running smoothly.

I was a wholesaler for the Foster & Klima Agency in Minneapolis. I managed the midwest territory - Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota. In addition to Disability Income, I also worked with clients looking for Life and/or Long Term Care Insurance. On average, we were able to work with underwriting to provide better DI policies with more riders at a lower premium, saving clients between 10 - 15% per year. I also averaged a client base of 300+ throughout the Midwest. These clients varied from small - medium size insurance companies, individual insurance agents, as well as individuals themselves (high earning individuals - business owners, doctors, etc.). I was responsible for training in-house producers, as well as running Continuous Improvement (CE) education classes about every 3 months for producers around the Twin Cities. (Licensed agents are required by law to have 24 hours of CE every two years). Conducted training for class sizes typically averaging between 25 - 40 agents.
