Major areas of work include science-based targets and product portfolio/economy level carbon footprints and strategies.𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 - developing end-to-end systems for recovering and extending value from seemingly non-recyclable materials. This includes life cycle assessment and innovation tools, where they are appropriate.𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 (𝗟𝗘𝗡𝘀) - our own innovation included as the only private sector initiative included in the government's 25 year environment plan. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - using our knowhow to address the major opportunities and challenges for the food system, including waste and soils.𝗕𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 - our bucket for all other things. Strategic sustainability consulting and project direction with public and private sector organisations. My primary work was focused on large scale portfolio product footprinting, capacity building and change management. These services were provided by capitalising on Best Foot Forward's expert consulting and analytical teams to provide insight into organisational, product and supply chain sustainability assessment studies and associated optimisation strategies. Additional responsibilities included accounting methodology development, communications and supply-chain management.

Chair of the Overseas Projects Team coordinating a small team to provide over £75,000 annual funding to more than 20 small scale sustainable development projects. Sustainability profile included the establishment of an organisational commitment, strategy and policy. In 2010 I was awarded a grant by the Vodafone Foundation World of Difference programme to streamline development and sustainability programmes.

Research and communicate global environmental regulations to multi-national corporations; facilitate introductory and advanced environmental compliance training and workshops; provide pragmatic consulting on global Packaging, WEEE, RoHS, REACH, EuP and Design for the Environment regulations; compliance audits; implementation and management of an ISO-14001 compliant EMS programme; and the design, data collection, processing and reporting of energy and carbon data for scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions for facilities and supply-chains.

Conducted government research for Defra's Business Resource Efficiency and Waste (BREW) Centre. Principal focus was on creating case studies by contacting and working with Local Authorities around the UK to determine what, if any, actions were being taken at a local level to improve business efficiency. All case studies were then published on the BREW Centre website for governmental and business access.

Worked with local and governmental leaders on developing sustainable practices at the local level. Tasks included conducting environmental audits; teaching and running workshops on environmental strategy, sustainable organic farming techniques (SOFT), and appropriate rural technologies with non-governmental oranisations and rural farming groups; and conducting informal environmental education with secondary school students.
