I'm a committed environmentalist grounded in pragmatism. My priority is to achieve a resilient society that lives within our planetary means (e.g. carbon, energy material, water, waste) through a range of measures including landscape level solutions, regenerative practices, circular thinking, supply chain optimisation, product design and alternative business models.Working with a range of businesses, organisations and governmental bodies I continue to develop a varied skill set that blends the key areas needed for any sustainability professional: environmental, business and legal best practice. There is a lot of work to do and my goal is to remain at the forefront of spreading innovation and insights.Specialties: • 'Big data' and systems for sustainability insights and action• Deforestation and exploitation in commodity supply chains (e.g. palm oil, soy, cocoa)• Supply-chain policy, strategy, and management• Supply chain information gathering and engagement• Food systems thinking• Product portforlio footprinting across multiple metrics• Sustainable raw material strategy • Retail, FMCG, Food/Beverage and Electronics sectors• Product carbon footprinting (including to PAS 2050, GHG Protocol)• Organisational carbon accounting (incl. supply-chain)• GHG Protocol (Corporate, Product, Scope 3 - Value Chain)• GHG reporting standards and their development• Product environmental compliance (Packaging, WEEE, RoHS, REACH)

Partner3Keel Dec 2014 - Apr 2023Oxford, Gb3Keel works to make the world a better place for people and the environment. We do this through ideas, evidence, and bringing people together. We have been recognised in the Financial Times as being one of the top UK management consultancies for sustainability through a survey of our clients and peers. Our business operates across six core practice areas supporting businesses, non-profit organisations, and policy makers:𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 - working to address deforestation, exploitation, and other resilience challenges in global production systems (e.g. palm oil, soy, timber, cocoa).𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 - supporting and quantifying the opportunities and risks associated with our evolving world. Major areas of work include science-based targets and product portfolio/economy level carbon footprints and strategies.𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 - developing end-to-end systems for recovering and extending value from seemingly non-recyclable materials. This includes life cycle assessment and innovation tools, where they are appropriate.𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 (𝗟𝗘𝗡𝘀) - our own innovation included as the only private sector initiative included in the government's 25 year environment plan. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - using our knowhow to address the major opportunities and challenges for the food system, including waste and soils.𝗕𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 - our bucket for all other things. Many people like working with us and ask us to do things outside these boxes - we're not a box-type business. We have worked closely with many businesses and understand that fire-fighting and finding time are often the biggest challenges. Our team are adaptable and astute, able to provide an extra pair of hands and provide quick support to your sustainability team. -
