Within this role I have worked as part of the molecular and cellular biology group to custom build relational databases using Filemaker Pro software. These database have been used to streamline data recording and to increase the efficiency of reporting production outcomes. I was responsible for all stages (design, building, troubleshooting and managing) and this involved leading meetings with the users, reporting progress, creating in-depth written user manuals and running training sessions.I have been responsible for collating data and checking its accuracy prior to reporting globally. I conduct preliminary analysis on the measurable outcomes of the group that have been used to support further funding opportunities, produce peer-reviewed journal papers and feedback into best practise.In addition to data management, I have also gained experience in analysing complex DNA sequencing data of CRISPR-Cas9 genetically edited organisms, which I then report to both internal and external clients.
