The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting and optimizing inventory availability across our global network. This position will define materials strategies and use appropriate balance of customer forecast with statistical information to plan material levels that will enable the company to meet or exceed customer service levels and working capital objectives.

Establish and maintain finished goods materials planning parameters (safety stock, reorder point quantities, lot sizes, forecast, lead-times, etc.) such that the finished goods availability levels and working capital objectives are in line with the monthly S&OP expectations.Effectively communicate planning strategies with cross functional partners. This includes limiting the purchasing of it as well as disposition of existing excess and obsolete materials.Responsible for working with Quality, Sales, Finance and Warehouse to resolve receiving issues, rejections of material, quality issues or vendor return problems.Set up initial planning parameters for newly created material masters and extend materials masters to other plants as needed. Manage sku portfolio globally by maintaining appropriate master data, inventory strategy and order fulfillment across all locations.
