I am a co-founder and part-owner of Masoala Forest Lodge / Kayak Masoala SARL. This project involved all aspects of designing, building, developing and managing a 12 bed luxury lodge and its associated operations in Masoala National Park. - Setting up, manage & develop the business, including an office in the capital Antananarivo- Designing & developing the 12 bed lodge in the Masoala NP- Recruitment & training of local staff for all departments- Human resources & staff welfare- Managing & developing financial systems and controls- Managing budgets & procurement's- Operations & logistics management- Marketing & sales / reservations & tour-operator relations - Networking & building relationships with the National Park, conservation NGO’s, local communities and Government- Developing the guest experience & activities - Overseeing all departments and day to day camp management- Guiding & hosting guests on day trips, snorkeling outings, kayak tours and ten night kayaking expeditions
