Hello! I'm Ankit, and I'm passionate about the world of materials science and systems engineering. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Science degree in Material Science at IIT Madras (In collaboration with HRI Prayagraj) with a focus on Computational Material Science.My journey in this field has been incredible, and I've had the privilege of working in the fields of Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Material Informatics. During my academic journey, I've had the opportunity to work with startups and projects that have honed my skills in engineering and material science. These experiences have provided me with a unique perspective on the practical applications of my work.Some of my projects - 1️⃣ Exploring 2D materials for catalytic applications, with consideration of different phenomena they produce and models to capture their physics.2️⃣ Develop a code to automate the pre and post-processing of DFT data, improving our computational workflows.3️⃣ Studying Rashba Splitting, Polarons, and the Hubbard model; evaluating how to capture them in electronic structure calculation.4️⃣ Contributing to a Hyperloop project with a focus on thermal management, infrastructure, and life support systems. [Avihskar Hyperloop]5️⃣ Worked on innovative solutions for diesel particulate filters, using wet scrubbers to convert soot to ink and spinel-based catalytic filters. [Chakr Innovation]6️⃣ Automating the production of mushroom mycelium-based bio-materials for sustainable packaging, reducing the burning of farm leftovers of stubble, and replacing styrofoam. [Dharaksha Ecovative | Innovante Engineering Solution]7️⃣ And, last but not least, developed an ATV, from chassis to braking, from electronics to suspension.
