Applied Physics Researcher In Electrical And Computer EngineeringUniversity Of Missouri Mar 2015 - Jul 2020Columbia, Mo, UsThe Center for Physical Electronics and Power Electronics is led by a Logan Distinguished Associate Professor, Dr. Randy D. Curry, in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Center focuses on high-power electronic devices for defense, life sciences, environmental applications and alternative energy sources and storage. Applications of the Center's research encompass the environmental and medical fields, including work on pulsed electric fields, atmospheric plasmas, and pulsed UV and electron beams that can inactivate bacteria or purify water. The Center is also funded to develop new dielectrics for energy storage that utilizes nanotechnology. -
Student ResearcherUniversity Of Missouri Dec 2012 - Jul 2020Columbia, Mo, UsDesigned and constructed a single photon detection/coincidence system with photomultiplier tubes and novel Silicon Photomultipliers. Used non-linear effect, second harmonic generation, to prepare two photon entangled state. Measurement of the photon state led to a violation of classical mechanics and further to violate Bell's inequalities. I am familiar with techniques of weak signal measurement from Boxcar, lock-in, pulse height analysis. Used FPGA's to implement a digital replacement of conventional nuclear instrumentation. -
ResearcherUniversity Of Missouri Dec 2011 - Jul 2020Columbia, Mo, UsDeveloped a novel breast cancer imaging modality. Using non-invasive infrared light I designed a Heterodyne imaging system for diffuse optical tomography. Like my other experience I built the system from the ground up. Can't say much due to confidentiality. -

Ceo | FounderAerial Agriculture Inc. Jul 2015 - May 2016St. Louis, Missouri, UsLeading the change in agriculture through technology. Aerial Agriculture is pushing the frontier in UAV technology, remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. Always innovating never waiting. -
Nsf Igert FellowNational Science Foundation Aug 2013 - Jan 2015Alexandria, Va, UsStudying self assembled nano-fabrication of magnetic, semiconducting, metal-oxide heterostructures. Exploring ice rule in nano-magnetic honeycomb material. Exploring possibility of graphene like properties of nano-fabricated metal-oxide interface. Also, exploring mesoscopic quantum coherent tunneling in nano-device. Funding provided by the NSF IGERT: Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship. -
Radio Host - The Big ElectronKcou-Fm 88.1 Nov 2012 - Nov 2014Columbia, Mo, UsOne of four hosts of the Big Electron. A Weekly science news radio broadcast where we bring the latest in developments in the fields of physics, computer science, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and engineering to the public in an easy to understand broadcast. -
ResearcherUniversity Of Missouri May 2009 - Mar 2010Columbia, Mo, UsTheoretical condensed matter research. Applied density functional theory to investigate novel organic materials for use in organic light emitting diodes. My focus was on the tuning of intermolecular interactions of dioctyl-substituted polyfluorene via hydrostatic pressure.
