In the last 20 years, I’d been able to cover the role System Engineer and then Program Manager on several different projects, at different stages of execution. As System Engineer I’d been in charge and actively involved in all the program phases, from the early user requirement definition to the satellite acceptance test and validation. I had the opportunity to participate to all the functional and environmental test campaign, at board, unit, S/S and satellite level. A key aspect in the Program Management role, has been the capability to be clear in the priorities, roles, and activities definition but, at the same time, been able to coordinate different entities and needs to find proper compromises. The experience in the industry has been helpful in my PM role for a startup, where I’d been able to contribute to the definition of all the program aspects, processes and team definition.The position of program manager, in this particular context and for this special mission, allowed me to be the point of contact and interface between the various stakeholders, the agency, the company management, the program team and the subcontractors and to work with the objective to successfully deliver the mission.All the programs I have worked on had been in an international environment and with institutional entities as customer.
