Scott helped his clients understand the litigation process, developed strategic plans, and aggressively advocated for his clients in depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals. Scott’s practical experience with litigation, and how to avoid it, was quickly recognized as an asset to clients on transactional matters as well where Scott assisted with real estate development, joint venture, and construction projects.

Scott started his career at Sutton | Booker | P.C. defending insurance companies against claims of bad faith in Colorado state and federal courts. Scott regularly analyzed insurance coverage, prepared for and defended corporate representative and claim adjuster depositions, managed expert witnesses, litigated confidentiality and trade secret issues, successfully argued motions, and tried several cases in state and federal court.

Drafted orders for civil cases in the areas of: construction defect, personal injury, corporate law, constitutional law, and municipal zoning.
