The DNR employs over 2,500 permanent employees. Selected Accomplishments:• PFAS Legislative and Biennial Budget Strategy — Collaborated with the Governor’s Office to develop a PFAS funding initiative to provide Wisconsinitesresources to clean up PFAS from their private wells and municipal water systems. Resulted in the passageof legislation creating a $125 Million PFAS Clean-Up Fund. • Wolf Management Plan & Administrative Rulemaking Stakeholder Engagement — Coordinated the unanimous approval of this controversial species management plan and administrativerule through the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board. Met with numerous stakeholders in support of andopposed to the management plan, including organizing a tribal technical consultation with the elevenfederally recognized tribal nations of Wisconsin. • Department Lead on Governor Evers’ Pelican River Forest Easement — One of the largest forest easements in state history preserving over 54,000 acres of forest and naturalhabitat for outdoor recreation, carbon sequestration, and habitat restoration benefits. -
