"What are you going to do with a History major, Jeff?" I loved history, but I'd heard that question a million times. So no one was happier than me when, shortly after college, I stumbled into supply chain management(SCM) and finally had an answer. I landed an entry-level job in SCM. At first, I thought it was just a J-O-B. But it didn't take long to realize there was something about supply chain that clicked for me. The blending of process, systems, technology, and problem-solving—it sparked something in me. I was hooked and needed more. More information about supply chain than my history degree provided. So I dove in deep. I soaked up everything I could in my new SCM role and started taking supply chain classes on my own time through the American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS)—later renamed the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM). With that foundation, I was off to the races! A few things you should know about me: 1. I'm naturally curious. 2. I love to travel. 3. I'm always up for an adventure. These traits, combined with my newfound love of SCM, led me to many interesting places, companies, and alongside fantastic teammates. I've helped businesses in industries ranging from semiconductors to baked goods. From video games to boat engines. I even helped a fast-food chain implement a supply chain system a few projects after assisting an aerospace company with production scheduling. Some other highlights that stand out:
