Product Manager for the Rules & Fees component of Thomson IP Manager and Connected IP Payments. The Rules & Fees application is the most robust and comprehensive in the industry, comprised of over 26,000 individual docketing calculations drawn from the Intellectual Property laws of over 400 jurisdictions throughout the world. My role as Product Manager was to ensure that our Rules & Fees calculations are kept up-to-date with over 2,500 patent and trademark law changes that occur globally each year. I also ensured that my product maintained its position as the industry leader. From small law firms to Fortune 500 corporations, my responsibility was to safeguard Intellectual Property portfolios by providing the most reliable protection against the loss of Intellectual Property rights.

Duties included single-handedly writing a 100+ page User Guide to explain a complex, internet based application that will ultimately replace the legacy computer systems used throughout the entire state of Michigan by the Department of Human Services. Also wrote step-by-step Wizards, as well as field-level and page-level help that is currently being utilized on a daily basis by DHS case workers and management personnel in every county throughout the state of Michigan.

Duties include creating the initial draft of a patent application for submission to a patent attorney for review. Researched the elements of creating a patent application and wrote the application from scratch. Regularly consulted with the chief engineer and CEO of EdgHog.com for guidance and explanation.
