An early-stage technology development company focused on applications of deep learning in robotics

With COVID the impact of the digital divide in low-income communities became evident with families who did not have high-speed internet or laptops for virtual school. Started a pilot program with support from the Pulte Family Foundation to hire and train recent high school graduates from low-income communities to install high-speed internet in their neighborhood. Deployed Ubiquiti managed network in two communities managed by the Boca Raton Housing Authority at 150 residents by running CAT6 ethernet cable to each home. Team members were paid $15 an hour working 30-40 hours a week over the summer. The Boca Raton Housing Authority asked if we could install a modern video security system and that work was done at the corporate office and Boca Islands East Apartments. The goal of the pilot project was to see if on the job training in a technical field that also requires hard work and installation skills. The smartphone generation regardless of the neighborhood they live in or the high school they attended is up for the challenge and exceeded our expectations. The target was to do the install for $250 per house which would include labor and network build-out one block at a time. By installing CAT6 ethernet cable to each home we future proof the ability to deliver high-speed network for years to come. The second phase of the project was to use the team members to provide tech support and training for the families in the community on how to use the internet for education, training, job searches and online jobs. We were not able to secure funding for the project expansion and in the process of exploring funding future options.

Use genomic data to identify and characterize molecular targets for Conditionally Active Biology(CAB) in a Tumor Microenvironment Environment(TEM) for CAR-T therapy in solid tumors. Develop and analyze approaches in synthetic biology in T-cells for optimal treatment strategies with the goal of evolving adaptive immunity to cure cancer.

Responsible for the retrospective analysis of breast cancer clinical trials for genomic biomarkers that are prognostic of outcome or predictive of treatment. Developed neoadjuvant pan-cancer genomic EMR system for patient practice that collects all relevant patient data for genomic driven treatment decisions, genomic testing, treatment combinations and a range of outcomes. Leading computational efforts for an international consortium of pathologists and oncologists to automate lymphocyte calling metrics in breast cancer clinical trials using AI/Deep Learning.

Rewrote end user application reducing user data curation from two weeks to one hour. Developed an Enterprise IP Video Management system for use in video surveillance and homeland security. Distributed architecture based on Web Service 2.0, IPVideoXML and Java. Designed video analytics for object tracking to detect loitering, fence jumping, wrong-way detection, people counting and other intelligent video object detection algorithms.

Elected Student Body President as an opposition candidate to the established parties that zero funded over petty politics the University of Florida Engineers Fair hosted in March. Developed the GatorOne Card. Computerized ID card system that combines client/server, digital imaging, DB2 database, and mainframe integration. This system was installed in 1989 on the Amiga platform and was later migrated to OS/2 and was a first of it kind digital photo ID system. The Gator One card is still in use today at UF with the same graphic treatment, barcode and integrated mag stripe I designed 30+ years ago.
