My fundamental role as a Systems Engineer with Dimension Data is to understand client needs and address them through solutions based on Dimension Data’s technology and services portfolio.As a part of the account team, I provide leadership in dealing with Professional Services colleagues in order to successfully compose large customer solution proposals.

My responsibilities are to design and lead transformative business information, technology infrastructure, and IT governance strategies for an industry-diverse client base. I work to define long-term strategies for clients enabling growth and scalability while minimizing costs and business risks. I negotiate vendor partnerships and develop engineering resources. Jr. SE MentorKey strategic projects include:- Successfully architected and designed an internal cloud solution for a Fortune 15 healthcare firm. Scoped the implementation of Cisco’s Vblock architecture and Cisco UCS Director in order to build a solution that would enable business units to lower costs and streamline operations.- Conceptualized and developed a Cisco Smartnet alternative that allowed Fortune 15 medical firm to save over one million dollars a year in support fees.- Designed a unified wireless platform for leading manufacturing firm in NC that consisted of highly available wireless infrastructure and centralized operation functions.

Established self as a pre-sales leader, driving key product initiatives and technology leadership during high-growth startup phase and subsequent maturity of company. Developed key OEM partnerships and led value with customers around business transformation via technology. Key projects include:- Developed and lead implementation of video infrastructure to support remote learning initiatives for largest K-12 school system in NC.- Designed wireless infrastructure for large Technical college in SC in order to support mobility within the campus.

Assisted in the development of 5-year strategic plan to enable interoperability in support for growth through acquisition of several new facilities. Lead a team of engineers responsible for maintaining highly available infrastructure for 24x7 patient care and 5,000+ end users. Monitored compliance and developed JCAHO’s management of information policies in partnership with hospital personnel. Key projects include:- Coordinated technology efforts for 15 separate acquisitions including migrating new hospital information systems to GHS systems. Converted practices existing network infrastructure to GHS owned and operated network infrastructure.
