  • Rock Inked, Inc.
    Marketing And Public Relations Assistant
Rock Inked, Inc. Sep 2022 - Feb 2023
New York, New York, United States
As a freelance marketing and public relations assistant, I assisted Rock Inked, Inc. with an ongoing children’s book series. During my project, I created a press release for the client’s newest title and distributed the document and a pitch of the book and author to various media outlets; this would lead to great opportunities like securing author interviews through podcasts and social media book giveaway initiatives. I often contacted other institutions like libraries, schools, and children’s museums to help schedule author visits. In addition to this, I also reached out to appropriate companies that would help advertise the title to extend the book’s reach; this is when I would develop content that those advertising companies would use and share with their audience. To make sure everyone on the team was on the right page, I updated the marketing summary regularly and, toward the end of my time there, I shared a monthly report with the author and their team. Finally, I would attend virtual author events for the company; I enjoyed this aspect of the role, whether I played a small or large part, it was great to see everyone’s hard work come together in successful events.
