He is recognized for both his expertise and his enthusiasm for helping professionals optimize their businesses. He is widely published in many professional journals, books, clinical references, and web-based resources. He currently serves as the Chief Development Officer and CEO of Augmented Medical Intelligence, a medical knowledge platform transforming medicine. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. He also served as the Chief Optometric Editor for Optometric Management from 2012-2018. He now serves as Co-editor for AI in Eye Care, a Jobson publication focused on AI in the Eye Care industry. He was also recognized in 2015 as one of the 50 most influential people in the eye care industry. He received his doctorate of optometry at Indiana University in 1996. He completed a residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery at Triad Eye Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He then served as the cornea and refractive clinical director of Discover Vision Centers in Kansas City for 5 years before moving to Colorado in 2002.
