Promoted to responsibility of all regional purchasing activities (annually over $140,000,000 in procurement spend) for five business units while managing customer billing / cost analysis, sales / operating forecasts, & financial audit compliance for three businesses totaling $125,000,000 in revenues. * Temporally assigned additional responsibilities to help resolve issues with financial billing issues for plants in Missouri, Ohio, and Virginia along with current Wisconsin operates to help improve Working Capital Goals in the RRD Book Division* Assigned to lead cross functional team to relocate 75 individuals to other facilities, sell off $980,000 worth of inventory, along with removal of equipment associated with plant closing.* Devised strategies to reduce inventory levels along with negotiating lower purchased prices and/or rebates which resulted in cost savings of over $1,250,000+ annually.* Set goals for team of individuals to improve working capital availability by reducing inventory levels and unbilled receivables, along with increasing deferred revenue liability resulting in cost savings of $340,000 in three months.

Increased responsibilities to recruit, hire, and train the purchasing department personnel while retaining billing department responsibilities. • Subject Matter Expert for purchasing and finance areas in the certification of ISO 9001:2008. This resulted in developing workflows to formalize department operating procedures training documents which ensures anticipated productivity levels are met.• Assisted in the gap analysis, conversion, training from People Soft to SAP in the purchasing department; the outcome is a standardized system which matches up to RRD GSS Corporate.

Responsible for all the activities within the billing department to ensure that invoices are processed timely along with the job cost analysis, reporting, audit compliance, forecasting, and follow up.• Coached, lead, and set goals for billing department using lean manufacturing methodologies, process improvements, value stream mapping, and 5S principles which resulted in annual savings of $500,000.• Developed process map which helped institute changes, tested new work flows, and trained on system changes within the financial areas to ensure department converted to the RR Donnelley financial policies from Banta.• Collaborated with other individuals within the finance, customer service, and production control departments to upgrade forecasting system for the approximately 10,000 jobs produced in their facility keeping unexplained forecast variance to +/- 5%.

Promoted for all the activities within the billing department to ensure invoices are processed timely along with the job cost analysis, reporting, audit compliance, forecasting, and follow up.• Managed, facilitated, and lead individuals in converting financial reporting from one division to another; streamlined, improved workflows, eliminated redundant operations resulting in savings of over $100,000 annually. • Improved productivity, developed goals, communicated to cross functional group to reduce cycle times in billing process which resulted in reduction of 4.5 days and economic profit of $40,000 annually. Team was nominated and received the runner-up for the President’s Award.

• Lead, communicated and implemented project timelines which ensured over 15,000 pages of material to be delivered in short lead time to customer assuring the customer received national recognition.• Improve profitability on a complex series of titles which resulted in a cost saving of 11% on $415,000 in sales.• Outsourced, negotiated pricing, coordinated production schedules, and quality expectations with subcontractor on $2,400,000 project resulting in a 20% profit.
