After working for Roberts Flooring for some years received a promotion to Branch Manager. Managing a team of 5 installers and the daily running of day-today business.

Worked as a Floor Layer installing carpets, Altro, laminate, Wood, Rubber, Karndean & other types of luxury vinyl tile. Working in a team of 5 training 2 apprentice's through the ranks. Mainly working on commercial jobs, supervising as necessary, providing training where needed.

Worked in the re-lauch of the Executive Hayman Island a luxury 5* Resort. I worked for the cleaning company that sub contracted their work from One & Only, a world wide establishment focused on top end hospitality. The island was renovated and re-lauched on July 1st involving 80 members of cleaning staff, I was the soul live-in accountant for the short-term contract. I was in charge of time sheets, wages, invoicing plus day-to-day general paperwork for all cleaning staff.

Working at the biggest flooring contractors in the South West of England. First employed as an installer then promoted to become Contracts Manager. This involved communications with current customer, approaching new customers via phone, knocking on doors or creating networks. Hitting sales targets with proof of profit margins. Managing staffs rota's for the fitting team and warehouse staff. Completing quotes, invoices, method statements and risk assessments. Attending sites for estimations plus and site inductions and tool box talks. While there I obtained my UK Fork-truck licence and attended the Asbestos Awareness course.

Started my own small Business in the flooring industry. This included finding all new clients from scratch. I had to find the work then estimate the job, order material, instal the material, invoice the client then encourage them to recommend my work. This was all self- motivated mainly fitting Karndean flooring product (designer flooring). While working self employed I managed to build up enough business to sub-contract labour for a total of one year. While this happened I attended fitting courses including Karndean Basic Course, Kardean Advanced course, Kardean Island Installation, Altro fitting, NVQ Level 2 in Textile floor coverings and obtained my CSCS card all self funded.
