United Kingdom
Working within Avon and Somerset Constabulary’s Technology Department, my initial responsibilities included placing orders, creating and paying invoices, creating and maintaining databases leading to extensive knowledge of Microsoft packages and keeping track of licenses and contracts.Since August 2016 I have been working very closely with the Service Management team, acting up from my Business Support position. I have produced monthly reports that assess how the Department as a whole has been performing, including SLAs. I have at times been in charge of the server patching schedule and do a lot of work with Change within the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework. I also maintain the time management aspect of the Department.Moving on from my role in the Business Support team, I have become a member of the Service Management (Client) team within the IT Department of Avon and Somerset Constabulary, taking the role of IT Service Coordinator. Among other things, this role involves the production of daily and monthly reports, both internal and external to the department. I have been heavily involved in the implementation of a new Change Management (ITIL) process and currently control the administrative side of this, as well as Problem Management (ITIL). Working with Service Management, I am responsible for the publication and maintenance of the IT Service Catalogue and also have the duty of collating and maintaining the department's Time Management system. This role is highly analytical and process-driven; at the same time I am able to be creative in the way that I manage my work and data.I have recently completed a three month secondment within the department's Projects team, working with the PMO and producing weekly and monthly reports, analysing data, chairing project meetings and keeping close governance over the department's projects.
