In my role at South Yorkshire Police, I lead the charge in defining, understanding, and managing our data risk profile in line with our risk appetite. I head a team of experts in Information Security, Records Management, Information Rights, Risk and Assurance, and DBS, driving high-quality support and guidance in data governance.I'm responsible for a comprehensive risk-based privacy management programme, managing key resources like the Information Asset Register and Information Risk Register, and shaping policies and procedures to underpin our governance framework.A key part of my job involves auditing and ensuring compliance across systems and processes, alongside managing the team that supports communication and collaboration between key data governance figures within the force.Crucially, I oversee the data lifecycle management, embedding governance into our processes and showcasing the strategic benefits of these actions. Additionally, I liaise with national NPCC leads and develop policies to maintain and enhance data governance standards at South Yorkshire Police.

Creation lead of Information Sharing Agreements for Nottinghamshire Police and partner agencies. I engage with public and third sector organisations to promote information sharing. I support the Information Lead and Data Protection Officer to ensure legislative compliance and ICO requirements.I act as a key point of contact for the OPCC in the administration of ECINS a multi-agency information sharing platform. I also act as a single point of contact for the ECINS supplier to further develop the system and problem solve implementation issues.Additionally I act as the single point of contact for all Nottinghamshire partner organisations utilising ECINS and sharing agreements.I ensure that all data sharing documentation, arrangements and agreements are compliant with regulations and legislations to enable effective collaboration.I actively provide advice and guidance around information sharing for internal police partners and other organisations, where required.Within my role I continue to develop good practice and information sharing methodology in consultation with Force business leads and partner organisations.

Previously employed as an Compliance Assistant (national role) for Designer Contracts. My duties included ensuring all staff comply with procedural and administrative elements of their jobs, to ensure standards across the country are continually improving and to coach, motivate and train teams across the country. This was achieved through the use of audits across different regions of the UK and writing detailed reports based upon their results in order to make suggestions for improvements. Also, when necessary, to create, update and impliment policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards are being met across the company.

In my previous role, Trainee General Manager with Mecca Bingo, I acted as general manager for various clubs across the M1 corridor ranging in size both in terms of team, annual profit turn over and customer visits and retention. I have directly managed my own trading accounts, managed payroll efficiencies, club promotions and team development. I had the responsibilities of a GM which included but are not limited to; ensuring club compliance with stringent gaming and Health and safety regulations from several governing bodies. FIn addition to this I managed various departmental incomes and its teams that are pivotal to the day to day running of a club.Alongside my duties within clubs I used my time to complete a professional management program and earned a Certificate in Leadership and Management (ILM) as well as gaining my Personal License (alcohol) and Personal Management License (gaming)A key aspect of my role was focused around key performance indicators; such as other income, and various external and internal audits and payroll efficiencies. Within this role, I managed a large team, spanning two departments inside a fairly busy Morrison’s store. The role included; stock control, compliance audits, working to merchandising plans and maintaining in store promotions.
