Also served two public companies as officer, director and outside general counsel. Later became an outspoken Second Amendment advocate - served 7 terms as elected President of the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC), and since 2003 as an elected Board Member of the National Rifle Association. Became ANJRPC's first Executive Director in 2011, transitioning from the practice of law. Also served as a member of volunteer law enforcement for 12.5 years, retiring as an Auxiliary Police Captain in 2011. Previously served as as a staff assistant to a U.S. Congressman; and as a legal intern to a Second Circuit Court of Appeals Judge and to the U.S. Attorney, Southern District of New York. Also an accomplished classical guitarist and avid hiker.
