As a project Lead Civil Engineer I am responsible for numerous engineering tasks including but not limited to: Stormwater system design for large power-related projects, design of culverts, piping systems, ponds, hydrology calculations and other miscellaneous tasks using a variety of design software; Design of grading and slopes; Roadway and paving designs; Erosion control systems; Specification development for all civil-related design items; Management of support engineers and drafting… Show more As a project Lead Civil Engineer I am responsible for numerous engineering tasks including but not limited to: Stormwater system design for large power-related projects, design of culverts, piping systems, ponds, hydrology calculations and other miscellaneous tasks using a variety of design software; Design of grading and slopes; Roadway and paving designs; Erosion control systems; Specification development for all civil-related design items; Management of support engineers and drafting personnel; Budget and schedule development and tracking; Law and code compliance, ensuring designs meet all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations and standards; Coordination of civil engineering design with other disciplines, project management, clients, and regulatory personnel.I have spent 9 months in the field working as a lead field engineer managing the civil construction of a power project in Pennsylvania. Duties included cost & budget tracking, scheduling, managing 3rd party subcontractors, and overseeing stormwater-related environmental compliance.I have spent over 2 years in the field managing survey operations for large-scale power construction projects; duties included but not limited to: Management and calculation of all surveyed design data for the project; Management and coordination of multiple survey crews and personnel; Utilization of design software (Microstation, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and others); Maintenance and purchasing of all survey equipment for the project; Schedule, budget, and manpower management; I have experience working on construction estimates and proposals for large-scale power projects; duties included: Civil/structural engineering and design for the estimating effort (using a variety of design software); Calculation of quantities for all civil-related aspects of the proposal; Development of manpower requirement, unit rates, and commodity costs for the proposal; Subcontractor estimates and cost development.
