An enthusiastic and driven individual who graduated from The University of Birmingham with a 2:1 degree classification in Applied Golf Management Studies. The degree focused heavily on Business and Economics in the Sports industry. I specifically enjoyed the Marketing and Sales aspects of the degree course and want to focus my future career on developing my knowledge and experience working for leading UK FTSE100 companies. I have a strong sense of determination to succeed, which is reflected in all the work I do. My broad imagination, coupled with my confidence and team ethic, provides an excellent stemming point to achieve.Dissertation: ‘What influences consumers to purchase goods in the sports industry. A quantitative investigation into the consumer decision-making process’.My dissertation had a main focus of sales and marketing, specifically identifying consumer’s needs and requirements and what influences them to purchase a particular product. During the course and development of this project I researched into a variety of sales and marketing strategies and various other means in which a business can inflict its presence on a consumer. Through a variety of quantitative Multivariate Analysis of Variance Tests (MANOVA) a comparison amongst seven influential factors were tested. These factors were determined through a variety of literature and marketing campaigns from top businesses amongst the UK. The factors tested were; role models, social media, brand loyalty, brand image, price, family and friends and availability. It was concluded that overall ‘brand image’ was the most influential factor however; there was a significant correlation between brand image and social media, which shows social media is a strong influence to a brand image.
