Working as a faster payment agent in the fraud prevention team involves answering inbound phone calls from customers who may have noticed fraudulent activity on their account or fallen victim to a scam in which I will have to raise a case and secure the customer’s account in attempt to get their money back and prevent further loss. The most common reason for calling in however is due to payments being placed on hold by the bank because the fraud and scams profiling system has deemed them to be high risk and so I must investigate and thoroughly question the payments and decide based on my findings whether the payment can be put through or needs to be rejected.

As an usher in a bustling theater (1600-2500 capacity), I handled ticket scanning, patron assistance, and sales of ice creams and programs. I also supported staff with iPads and PDQs while adhering to company standards. Through this role, I honed communication skills with diverse customers and developed the ability to make informed decisions without close supervision. My additional responsibilities include running the theater shop and managing sales points, which have enabled me to acquire skills in operating tills, cash handling, reconciliations, and stock rotation.

My role as a member of the backstage crew has involved “get ins” and “get outs” including loading and unloading of trucks and the construction of stage sets with sound and lighting equipment.
