• Reporting directly to the Health, Safety manager• Support and advise all corporate Operations Managers (Capital Projects, Facility & Pipeline construction, Drilling & Completion, Civil construction, and Special projects & Operations with 4 Producing Fields) on HSE and regulatory matters related to their projects.• HSE & Regulatory support to on-site supervisors (WSS’s) within all Baytex divisions (Operations, Pipeline Construction, Drilling and Completions, lease/road earthworks building projects, and all Special projects) • Monitored and provided onsite safety support to contractors during Heli logging, clearing, stumping, and grubbing activities during building of ROW, ditching/backfilling, stringing, bending, lowering in and pressure testing of pipe, safe construction of trench boxes, welding activities and overall construction of Mainline. • Monitored and provided onsite safety support to contractors performing Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD’s) for engineered bore sections• Lead Taproot incident Investigator and emergency response coordinator for all Peace River field operations • HSE coaching/mentoring for wellsite supervisors (WSS’s) regarding HSE management systems, regulatory compliance, contractor management, hazard identification and controls, Baytex Energy policies, procedures, and expectations.• Coordinate and conduct weekly formal audits and non-formal site inspections, contractor snap shots, job observations, equipment inspections and reviewing reports for ensuring appropriate follow-up regarding the completion of all corrective action items assigned to field WSS’s.• Utilize a loss prevention mindset utilizing strong facilitation/training skills and strong interpersonal skills to promote excellence as established in the company strategies.• Coordinate comprehensive investigation processes regarding all incidents occurring in the field relating to safety and health with the mindset all incidents are preventable.

Liquids/Gas Facility & Pipeline Construction• Reporting directly to the Construction Operations Manager & Health and Safety Director • Coordinate and conduct weekly formal audits and non-formal site inspections, reviewing reports and ensuring appropriate follow-up regarding the completion of all action items.• Utilize a loss prevention mindset utilizing strong facilitation/training skills and strong interpersonal skills to promote excellence as established in the company strategies.• Coordinate comprehensive investigation processes regarding all incidents occurring in the facility relating to safety and health with the mindset all incidents are preventable.• Provide support in conducting RCA investigations on equipment failures and provide innovative solutions for improvement.• Provide hands-on mentoring & encourage new approaches in providing pro-active occupational health and safety support to site employees to achieve the goal of target zero incidents.• Coordinate with facility operations on fire prevention systems, Emergency Response procedures, training activities for the facility & staff and ensuring inspection and maintenance routines are carried out. • Identify hazard areas and ensure procedures are in place, communicated and followed to prevent incidents.• Facilitate/participate in bi-weekly, company-wide safety manager calls including preparing and presenting high potential incidents or other matters as required.• Liaise with medical practitioners, WCB agents, human resources and injured or ill employees regarding the collection and timely dissemination of documentation relating to employee injury and illness.• Support the Pipeline construction group on Gas & Liquids expansion project work in Northeastern BC, including multiple big inch liquids sales pipelines (Condensate & LPG), 6, 10 & 16-inch Sour Sales lines, Plant inlet gas lines, field gas lines, Tie ins & Risers, Hot Taps in to existing live sour lines.

Debottleneck Expansion Project - New Heat / Energy & Drying Expansion Facility • Reporting to the General Manager & Project Manager• Provided safety support to over 300 contractors on site while in the construction phase of the expansion project. • Supported incident investigation regarding all incidents occurred on the construction site.• Conduct audits & inspections to new and existing safety management plans & implementation for contractors for operations and working procedures, equipment, emergency procedures, drills, training and nonconformities and provide a list of revisions to reveal deficiencies to bring the contractors EH&S plan in alignment with the prime contractors. • Provided on the spot safety support with contractor groups to ensure their job tasks were completed safety when situation arise.• Provide hands-on mentoring. • Provide input for the creation of annual safety budgets.• Coordinated with Chief Power Engineer on fire prevention systems throughout the new construction building.• Coordinated OHS training for all site employees. • Participate in the JHS Committee through coaching/mentoring members on what to look for and what to improve.• Maintain safety statistics and reporting as required: Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually.• Identify hazard areas and ensure procedures are in place, communicated and followed to prevent incidents.• Facilitate/participate in bi-weekly, company-wide safety manager calls including preparing and presenting high potential incidents or other matters as required.• Liaise with medical practitioners, WCB agents, human resources and injured or ill employees regarding the collection and timely dissemination of documentation relating to employee injury and illness.• knowledge of OH&S Act/WCB processes.• Supporting in the Commissioning of New Heat, Energy & Drying expansion project.
