Technical Compliance Engineer Job DescriptionProvides customer service and support to regulators, suppliers, and operators• Evaluates documentation related to submissions and testing for regulatory compliance• Maintains register of current regulations and certification processes for assigned jurisdictions• Maintains working knowledge of common industry technical standards and minimum internalcontrols for assigned jurisdictions• Develops/maintains internal procedural documentation, coversheets, forms and test scripts• Assists in the process of generating correspondence for new technology or changes inregulatory policy• Assists the Senior Compliance team in ensuring the proper policy position is conveyed• Works with the Senior Compliance team on all regulatory technical matters and issuesrelating to rules, regulations, technical standards and minimum internal control standards• Provides support to Client Services/Business Development and Engineering staff, as needed• Consults with the Engineering groups in the various offices on regulatory technical questions• Handles first review of all forensic submissions, forensic reports, and new technologyapprovals• Performs regulatory differentials between various jurisdictional standards as needed• Communicates effectively with Engineering team to analyze potential regulatory issues anddocument root cause of technical matters• Handles assignments for quality review of draft certification reports• Provides input in support of the development and refinement of GLI technical standards• Processes industry advisories as needed with authorization from the management team• Performs administrative duties in a timely manner• Performs other duties as assigned
