My roles include the creation of highly detailed technical drawings, conceptual design and communicating closely with the customer to achieve the goal.

I work as part of a team that designs ice protection units for aircraft. Starting with the customers needs, each system is one off and requires proposals, specifications, development and testing.

As part of the Liverpool University Air Squadron, I am one of 60 Officer Cadets that are students from a range of Universities. I take part in and organise events, activities and challenges with/for the whole squadron. These can be activities such as AT weekends; climbing, walking, mountain biking or kayaking. Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Parachuting, Summer Mountain Proficiencies, Charity events and Ceremonies. Currently Officer in Charge of Charities and Engagements

Represented the University at a CDIO competition in Denmark at DTU, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet, as a team of four. The competition was based on new ideas for Mega Cities and was open to Universities across the world. Our team one best idea of 2011, after stiff competition from Australian, Chinese, Indian and American Students. Represented the University at town hall events,Represented the University at the Royal Aeronautical Societies head quarters in Mayfair, London at an Aero Challenge and got to the semi-finals in two years 2010 and 2011 competing against large companies such as Boeing, Airbus and Astrium.Represented the University at a British Model Flying Association University Challenge competition, by Conceiving, Designing, Implementing and Operating a Model Aircraft to complete a set task. Summer job. I was part of a team of 7 in a Cafe with a small beach shop in Abersoch for three summers. My responsibility change on a day to day basis. I could be in charge of a particular section in the cooking area, either cooking the hot food or preparing the cold food. I could be a part of the team in the shop taking food orders and selling beach accessories. Communication was vital, as it would keep all of the team in order.

Ever since a young age I have always worked on the farm. It involves working with over a 1000 cattle and working on heavy farm machinery, such as ploughs, cultivators, mowers and large muck spreaders.My responsibilities can be collecting all 1000 cattle and preparing them for milking at 0530 ready for a 0630-1100 milking session. I would then watch over the cattle to make sure they are not late or in the wrong place at any time, which could hinder important time schedules. During the day, I could be working on a tractor for around 10 hours, managing a cultivator in a 300HP tractor, this would involve long periods of concentration.

Helicentre is a Helicopter Flying school located at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. I was part of the weekend team. I would be the only one in the school whilst flying is taking place, therefore I would be responsible for any calls to the company, the hospitality of the people waiting for flights, charters, lessons and most of all the security of the aircraft whilst alone at the apron.
