Management of ship to shore, oil, fuels and LPG discharges and back loading activities, with volumes of approximately 20,000 ton cargoes for domestic and international shipping. The Shore Officer plans and liaises with the Ships Chief Officer/ Captain for the order of discharge and manages tank farm staff facilitating the discharge or back-loading operations.BITUMEN PROCESSING PLANT SHUTDOWN COORDINATOR.Plan, budget and manage approximately 30 annual Bitumen Distillation plant shut down maintenance periods, mostly independently, and also additionally in the last few years, as part of a larger team. The duration of the shutdown periods was usually from 2 to 4 weeks, and entailed the use of approximately 40 to 50 contractors, and included fitters, welders, boilermakers, scaffolders, water-blast crews, painters, many varied specialists, inspectors, civil works, instrumentation technicians, specialists, cranes and riggers etc.The Shell Bitumen plant produces around 100,000 tons/ year and is a major supplier to Qld roads.Plant process equipment includes, but is not limited to: - Heat Exchangers- Furnaces- Steam generation equipment- Ejector/Condenser vacuum equipment- Process Reactor vessels- Distillation column- Condenser units- Cooling towers- Main storage tanks- Pumps and systems- Air compressors and more.
