Scott joined Hacker in 2015, and has 28 years of experience crafting inspired architectural solutions tailored to each client’s vision. A Senior Project Architect, Scott’s experience focuses heavily on large, complex projects, including office and workplace, residential, and higher education. He has extensive experience with the design of laboratories and research facilities, and has completed 20+ lab programming studies, designs, and pre-designs for commercial and academic clients. Scott is among Hacker’s most knowledgeable mass timber and CLT specialists, and he is a strong advocate for wood design and construction. Before working at hacker Scott designed three mass timber homes in Washington and Minnesota. His work at Hacker includes the corporate campus for First Tech Federal Credit Union in Hillsboro, Oregon, which until recently, was the largest CLT and glulam structure in the United States and Adidas' Canteen and Intersection project which includes CLT used as interior partitions. Scott is now deeply involved in mass timber projects from coast to coast, including Brookfield Development's Pier 70 Parcel A in San Francisco. He frequently speaks about the benefits and challenges of building with mass timber.
