Mequon Jewish Campus offers skilled nursing, independent living, and assisted living. Annual operating revenues of all three homes is 27 million.Responsibilities include overseeing the financial reporting for the organizations, preparing the tax returns, Medicaid & Medicare cost reports, and bond covenant reporting. I also oversee the annual operating budget preparation, manage the annual financial audit, present financial results to the board, and manage the business office staff. The business office staff includes 4 billers, 1 billing manager, 1 accounts payable / payroll clerk, and 2 staff accountants. Other responsibilities include overseeing the financial reporting, and preparing the tax returns for the Jewish Home and Care Center Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit that solicits donations used to support the Jewish Home, Prospect Congregate Housing, and Mequon Jewish Campus. Created new financial reporting package. Brought 990 preparation, cost reporting, and 3rd party billing in house. Created new operating budget models. Coached management on use. -

I also prepare the annual operating budgets, manage the annual financial audit, present financial results to the board, participate in strategic planning, work with the banks for cash needs, and manage the business office staff. The business office staff includes 3 medical billers, 1 accounts payable clerk, and 1 summer intern. Additional responsibilities include preparing the financial statements and tax returns for the Lutheran Home Foundation. Lutheran Home Foundation is a non-profit that solicits donations that are used to support the operations of both the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place. Wrote all accounting procedures, and reorganized the accounting staff to have better internal controls and make the staff more efficient.
