The business office staff includes 4 billers, 1 billing manager, 1 accounts payable / payroll clerk, and 2 staff accountants. Other responsibilities include overseeing the financial reporting, and preparing the tax returns for the Jewish Home and Care Center Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit that solicits donations used to support the Jewish Home, Prospect Congregate Housing, and Mequon Jewish Campus. Created new financial reporting package. Responsibilities include all financial reporting for the organizations, which includes financial statements, tax returns, Medicaid & Medicare cost reports, and bond covenant reporting. I also prepare the annual operating budgets, manage the annual financial audit, present financial results to the board, participate in strategic planning, work with the banks for cash needs, and manage the business office staff. The business office staff includes 3 medical billers, 1 accounts payable clerk, and 1 summer intern. Additional responsibilities include preparing the financial statements and tax returns for the Lutheran Home Foundation. Wrote all accounting procedures, and reorganized the accounting staff to have better internal controls and make the staff more efficient. In addition I prepared all operating budgets, worked with the banks for cash needs, managed the annual financial audit, presented financial results to the board, helped prepare the Medicare cost report and tax returns, and manage the Eastcastle business office staff. Additional responsibilities included being part of the team that secured a 40 million dollar bonding for the Eastcastle renovation. Created new operating budget models, coached management team on utilization. Wrote the corporate accounting manual, and all accounting procedures.
