As a passionate and dedicated cybersecurity professional, I am currently enrolled in Auburn University's Cyber Security Bootcamp to acquire the technical skills needed to protect organizations from digital threats. My commitment to cybersecurity is driven by my desire to safeguard companies on the tech side, complementing my extensive background in physical security.For the past decade, I have served as an Armed Nuclear Security Guard at Constellation Energy, where I have protected critical nuclear assets from foreign and domestic threats. This role required a mature professional demeanor and involved rigorous monthly training in de-escalation techniques, the use of deadly force, and meticulous attention to detail during vehicle and personnel searches.Throughout my career, I have observed numerous cyber-attacks both within my company and globally, which has fueled my passion for cybersecurity. My experience in physical security has sharpened my abilities to stay calm under pressure, maintain efficiency and professionalism, and identify anomalies with great attention to detail—skills that are invaluable in the cybersecurity field.I am eager to transition into a cybersecurity role where I can leverage my problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail to protect digital assets and drive positive change.
