Wow, it's an interesting task to describe a summary of my business background. More than 50 years at the same company, and I enjoyed every one of those years.It was an absolute joy to work at Bank-A-Count Corporation, with a great group of skilled, engaged, and fun team members. I started at Bank-A-Count at the age of 14. In between summers and weekends of work at Bank-A-Count, I earned a Management degree from UW-Whitewater in 1973, with a Marketing emphasis. I began at Bank-A-Count in the mail room, and then advanced through the ranks in the print room, Customer Service and Marketing positions. When the former owners retired in 2004, I became majority owner and President. In 2021, longtime company officers Ron Stoflet and Matt Fillmore took the reins to continue the success of Bank-A-Count. Bank-A-Count provides personal checks to banks and credit unions, and payment coupon books to the financial industry and also to property managers, private schools and many other business markets. In addition, Bank-A-Count serves the small and medium sized business market with business checks for manual or computer use.In my 'spare' time, I am also one of the managing partners of an irrigated potato farming operation in central Wisconsin. For many years, I was actively involved with ownership of a family friendly martial arts school, Karate America Wisconsin Rapids.
