I managed a proposal-driven grants program for basic research in the fields of geology and geophysics as part of the US Antarctic Program at NSF.

I oversaw elements of basic and applied research toward understanding the behavior of the Yucca Mtn site as a potential repository of commercial spent nuclear fuel. Essentiall performance assessment work on the then prospective nuclear waste repository site.

Conducted basic geologic mapping toward understanding geological and hydrological conditions of the LBL campus to inform decisions about potential lab development plans.
