Scott’s background has been the management of high risk works in the Event and Construction Industries throughout Australia and overseas. A former Australian soldier who has worked with the Queensland State Government, a diverse range of companies within Australia to international companies Walt Disney & Cirque Du Soleil in the United States and World Expo 2020, United Arab Emirates. Licensed in Rigging and Explosives, Safety has always played a major part of Scott’s work history and preparation of SWMS/SOP, Risk Assessments, Registers and compliance documentation a regular requirement of every role. Scott’s strong history of preparing safety documentation includes work on the rewrite of a Queensland Code of Practice and an Industry Safety Standard in the UAE. During the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Scott was responsible for all work at height, including height rescue, within the Carrara Stadium Precinct, for all contractors and emergency services personnel. Since stepping back from operational roles, into fulltime safety, Scott has completed Lead Auditor, Integrated Management Systems Specialist (Safety, Quality & Environment) and ICAM Lead Investigator to complement his Advanced Diploma of WH&S. Scott’s safety experience within the Construction Industry, led to him identifying the root cause of reoccurring injuries which in turn reduced the companies Loss Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR). Scott remains a valuable part of the Oversight Consulting team as the majority of our younger and cadet safety professionals look to him for guidance across the construction industry.
