A committed, full time Commissioner, re-elected to a second four year term in office. I have kept my promises and applied a lifetime of business and non-profit experience to serve my constituents. County taxes have been reduced and efficiencies made to make Mercer County government responsive and forward thinking. The responsibilities of the office vary daily - numerous Department and Human Resource decisions, from Pension management to Capital Improvements; Prevention programs, Criminal Justice systems; Budgeting, Tax Assessment; Public Safety, Emergency Management. Agriculture, Veterans, Children/Youth services, Aging, Mental Health services, Tourism, Elections, Bridges, Conservation, Economic Development and Job Training. Township, Borough, State, and Federal interactions to facilitate problem solving, better cooperation, and improve efficiency. I keep my finger on the pulse of our communities by working with Non-profits to coordinate comprehensive services to our constituents - Chambers of Commerce, Churches, Volunteer organizations, Recreation, Parks are just a few examples of how wide ranging my interactions are across Mercer County.
