Invasive Plant Remediation Internship:- Identified and removed invasive plant species to sustain the growth of native desert vegetation within many National Park sites throughout Arizona. - Utilized and maintained equipment involved in the eradication of non-native and invasive species including backpack sprayers, chainsaws, loppers and other hand tools. - Prepared and presented PowerPoint presentations to local Tucson students and community members on invasive flora and how to properly eradicate it. - Engaged local community members in the eradication of exotic and invasive grass species effecting Saguaro National Park.

Toms River, Nj

- Assisted SAF-Certified, NJDEP-Approved Consulting Foresters in the creation of natural resource and forest management plans. - Conducted field surveys of natural recourses throughout New Jersey. - Used Biltmore sticks, clinometers, logger’s tape, and increment borers to determine forest inventory parameters. - Followed established protocols in computer data entry and analysis leading to written technical reports. - Gained comprehensive experience with GPS, topographic and geologic maps, soil profile descriptions, and forest inventory collection methods.
