About Scott Cameron, (Capm)®
I have been working for Pratt and Whitney Canada for over a decade now, filling a number of different roles within the company. Most of that time was spent as a production technician on the shop floor, building the PT6 engine in the Lethbridge facility. I also had the opportunity to work as a tool specialist, helping to drive tooling improvements and then to take up a position as an area lead, guiding continuous improvement initiatives and acting as a resource for other departments. These opportunities lead me to becoming the continuous improvement specialist(ACE Leader) in our facility. In that role I have gained a vast understanding of the different systems and tools that help great businesses excel in their field. From root cause analysis tools, problem solving methods, 5S and cleanliness to organizational strategy, this role has given me a massive understanding and appreciation for the work and effort that takes place to align and drive improvements. My newest opportunity is that of a lead hand for one of the shift rotations. In this role I am able to utilize the vast experience I have gained from previous positions and use this to drive customer commitments and improvement opportunities. In this role I have also had the opportunity to manage many different projects to help drive us towards a more efficient and optimized future.
