Since starting with RPS in November 22' I have been working within the water industry and expanding my knowledge across several areas. I have been working within both the ECI Sampling and Asset management areas of the business.Use QGIS software to hydraulically design sampling schedules for a variety of water networks - exporting correct Maps and documentation.Ensure all correct documents are in place for the following weeks work (i.e. Liaise with Scottish Water if required to ensure permission to carry out work is in place).Spent 5 weeks on site carrying out the delivery side of ECI Sampling as well as 5 weeks on site Inspecting Sewer storm tanks and Pipe bridges.Carrying out Desktop studies for Scottish Water relating to a variety of assets.Liaise with the client to ensure work is being carried out correctly/make any requests such as traffic management required.

The main aim of our company is to remove as much stress as possible that is associated with moving day as we know how hard it can be. As part of the management team within the company it is my job to ensure that everything goes smoothly on a day-to-day basis on each job. I ensure that we provide the best service possible ensuring the upmost care is taken with the customers belongings as well as dealing with any problems that may occur for example damaged goods or if a house sale falls through. I manage teams of up to 6 workers, dealing with any problems they may have and providing the proper training and what is expected of the company. Managing several teams requires good man and time management skills - i.e. who can work together and working out the logistics of jobs.

During my time owning SC window cleaning I developed the company from a small number of houses to covering almost all of my local area, this was done by door-to-door canvassing, word of mouth and purchasing from other companies. Throughout my time at SC Window cleaning I spent time both out working and focussing on growing the business as well as taking time away to focus on my studies.Being out cleaning gave me confidence working at height and on ladders which I was not confident on beforehand as well as maintaining a good pace to keep up with the time schedule as I had limited time to complete the runs.Running the business gave me confidence on speaking to new members of the public, dealing with money and managing a team of workers.

During my time working at ASDA as security personnel I was trained on how to properly maintain and use the security systems that were in place such as fire alarm system, security cameras, fire door system and the relevant computer software.

During my time at electricity for free my task was to generate leads at sales events. At scheduled sales events at large venues such as the secc I was there to answer any questions and explain the benefits of having a PV solar system installed as well as how easy it was to install and maintain. I had to ensure that we hit a certain target each day for these events ensuring that everyone was actively working as it cost a lot of money for the plot.
