During his time with Greystar he was responsible for overseeing technology strategies and initiatives related to collegiate and conventional housing. Scott joined Greystar in 2018 through the company’s acquisition of student housing leader EdR, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and SVP of Strategic Business Development. Scott was also responsible for developing strategic business partnerships geared towards creating ancillary programs that generate revenue and leasing opportunities for each property. He identifies innovative and often untapped revenue streams through his understanding of student life, each property’s technological needs, and his long-time association with many of the housing industry’s leading technology service providers. Scott began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1990. He worked nationally with the firm to develop software initiatives including new IT policies and performed small business risk technology audit. He was formerly chief information officer and senior vice president with Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Orlando, Florida. Scott also previously co-founded a real estate investment firm, overseeing real estate transactions as well as residential and commercial construction.
