I started at the University of Phoenix as a Customer Service Representative handling approximately 200 desktop systems. Within the first year I was promoted to Systems Administrator for our Information Technology department handling server administration for University Services, which included supporting our imaging processing environment for converting student documents to digital format and storing in our workflow processing system.Latest role is Engineer III in an Agile Scrum team doing feature work. I am transitioning away from pure system administration and more towards coding practices. I've recently completed a 6 week boot camp from Cook Systems for coding basics (Java/JavaScript/HTML/CSS) to start my coding journey. There has also been initial work being done in AWS with Terraform deployments.

At TekNow I worked my way up from customer service to become the Manager of the company's IS department. In this position I was responsible for all aspects of the company server/workstation network, and Internet presence. I designed and implemented our web and email system taking it from third party hosting of web and email to being hosted in house via Exchange and IIS/MS Proxy. In addition to the IS department, I also was head of the production department and was responsible for the building, testing, and shipping of our custom paging hardware.Responsible for the overall production and shipping of four different messaging platforms; The TK4000 Messaging Terminal, Internet Messaging Gateway, Network Paging Gateway and the AlphaBox. The first three platforms consisted of Windows NT based systems incorporated with development software used in the wireless messaging industry.
