Senior Designer - National Sales ManagerKeith Hancock Structures Ltd Aug 1987 - Mar 1991Four Marks, HampshireKeith Hancock Structures were the “original” Mezzanine floor Company in the UK and Europe that utilised the technique of galvanised secondary joists with cleats into hot rolled main beams. This practice became the defining feature of modern day lightweight structural steel mezzanine flooring. Started out as a Senior Structural Designer and moved into technical sales to become the National Sales Manager, responsible for business development and team sales training. Personally, achieved sales targets of £5m per year.It was at KHS that I was inspired by wise words from my 'on-the-job' mentor to write my first mezzanine-specific structural design software. This, I believe, was the first piece of software dedicated to the mezzanine industry anywhere in the world. These early programmes helped increase the productivity of the design and proposals departments, realised as quicker production turnaround times, resulting in more economical solutions for clients.
